Travelling to Paris by Air
There are two airports located within a short distance from Paris: the Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy Airport situated 23 kilometers (14 miles) north east of the city and Paris Orly Airport (ORY) situated 14 kilometers (9 miles) south of Paris. Most international flights arrive at Roissy, while domestic French flights primarily arrive at Orly. The Charles de Gaulle airport is the second busiest international airport in Europe handling 60 million travelers per year. It has three terminals (aérogares) and two train stations. The Charles de Gaulle airport has even its own TGV (super fast train) station with connections to numerous French and European cities. The Paris Orly Airport is smaller, although this is still one of the busiest airports in Europe with approximately 26 million passengers per year. It has two terminals, Orly Ouest (Orly West) and Orly Sud (Orly South). An excellent train service connects both airports to the center of Paris. From the Charles de Gaulle Airport RER B line that brings to the city centre and from the Orly Airport the RER C trains operates regular connections to the city from both terminals.

Climate of Paris

During the winter it can get quite cold especially in December and January, but snowfalls are quite rare.
