Terms and conditions (international) car rental
These terms and conditions apply to all the services which are directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available by Businesscars.com. By accessing, browsing and using our website or any of our applications (collectively referred to as the "website") and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions (including the privacy statement).
All the pages, the content and infrastructure of the domain www.businesscars.com and the online car rental reservation service provided on our pages and through the website are owned, operated and provided by Businesscars.com B.V. (also referred as "us", "we" or "our"). They are exclusively provided for your personal, non-commercial use only, subject to the terms and conditions described below.
Businesscars.com and its affiliate partners provide an online platform through which car rental and commercial van rental reservations can be made. Moreover, we offer to possibility to purchase extra services such as car hire excess insurance, car hire cancellation insurance and valet parking via our website. Additional terms and conditions will apply to your reservation and purchase of travel-related goods and services that you select. Please read these additional terms and
conditions carefully. You agree to abide by the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by any supplier with whom you elect to deal.
The general conditions may change without notice, although changes will not affect contracts that have already come into existence and were already approved by Businesscars.com on behalf of the service provider (s). It is therefore essential that the passenger can read the general conditions at the time of placing their order, so be aware of the provisions in force.

The contract
Offer and acceptance :
a. The contract is created upon the client’s acceptance of the offer sent by Businesscars.com. Acceptance can be arranged either directly or through an affiliate partner of Businesscars.com. After the creation of the contract the client receives the booking confirmation as soon as possible electronically, together with the invoice. In case the client receives no confirmation e-mail within 24 hours following his reservation, he is kindly asked to contact our business support team.
b. The reservation process of Businesscars.com is designed such that, before acceptance, the client is informed that he is entering into a contract. By confirming the reservation by Businesscars.com, the client is committed to the contract.
Withdrawal of offer
The offer of Businesscars.com is made without obligation and can be withdrawn by Businesscars.com if necessary. Withdrawal of offers in order to correct errors in the calculation of the rental amounts or other errors, is permitted. This must take place as soon as possible, stating reasons, and no later than 8 office hours after acceptance. In this case, the traveller has a right to prompt reimbursement of any
amount paid to Businesscars.com.
Evident errors
Evident errors and evident mistakes are not binding upon Businesscars.com. Such errors and mistakes are errors and mistakes which – from the perspective of the average traveller – were or should have been instantly recognised as such.

Modification of the reservation
Once your reservation has been confirmed, the price of your booking is guaranteed. Modifications prior to the pick up date are free of charge. Please be advised that any modification to your reservation may have effect on the price. Modifications must be reported before the official rental period starts and can only be made through Businesscars.com. We don’t accept modifications arranged with the local suppliers.

Cancellation and cancellation fees
Cancellations must be reported before the official rental period starts and can only be made through Businesscars.com. We don’t accept cancellations arranged with the local suppliers.
Cancellation is free of charge if:
• cancellation is requested within 24 hours after making a reservation,
• an alternative offer has been sent to the client.
A cancellation fee of €25 will be charged after the 24 hour period has elapsed.
A cancellation fee of €50 will be charged if client cancels the reservation within 48 hours of the hire commencing.
In the event that the hirer wishes to terminate early, there is no refund for the balance of the hire period. In case of late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the pick up date 100% cancellation fee will be applied.
We offer the possibility to purchase car hire cancellation insurance for € 10 per reservation. By purchasing our car hire cancellation insurance, you may cancel your car rental prior the rental period without any cancellation fee.

Collecting the vehicle
Always ensure that you have the appropriate documents with you on collection of the rental vehicle. These include a valid driver’s license, passport or relevant photographic form of identification, credit card in the lead driver’s name and the Businesscars.com car rental voucher.
In case you collect your car at an airport, please provide Businesscars.com with your flight number prior to departure. The car rental company monitors the status of the flights to prepare the vehicles in time. In case of any delay we ask you to follow instruction under "Delays" in our General Terms and Conditions.
The details regarding the pick up location and pick up time can be found on page 1 of the Businesscars.com car rental voucher.
Clients are advised to check whether the fuel tank is full and whether there is any damage to the vehicle that is not noted in the rental agreement.
All extras such as one way charges, surcharges for young and extra drivers, out of hours surcharges, child seats etc. must all be paid upon collection at the location. These additional options might be subject to local taxes.

P.A.I. Insurance
Personal Accident Insurance. Most travel insurances offer coverage for personal accidents (check before departure). If this is not included in the travel insurance, you can purchase this insurance at the commencement of the rental.

Rental period
One rental day is interpreted as a period of 24 hours.

Lowest price guarantee
The price guarantee is valid for the first 3 car categories promoted on each destination. If you find an identical rental car cheaper with another car rental company available for the same dates at a lower price, we will match the lower price.

Price calculation
Once your reservation has been confirmed, the price of your booking is guaranteed. However changes in federal, state or local laws and taxes may influence the price. We reserve the right to adjust our prices at any given moment. The prices for extra options to be paid locally (for example child seats) are shown on the website without local tax. A weekly price is 7 consecutive rental days of 24 hours. One rental day is calculated as 45% of the weekly price. 2 rental days is calculated as 55% of the weekly price. 3 rental days is calculated as 60% of the weekly price. 4 rental days is calculated as 80% of the weekly price. 5, 6 or 7 rental days are calculated as a weekly price. Extra days are calculated as 1/7 of the weekly price.

Payment
Businesscars.com only offers pre-paid car rental. “Pre-paid" means you pay at the time of booking and present a prepaid voucher at the car rental desk. At the time of booking you’ll find various payment methods such as electronic banking and Credit Card payments applicable to your country of residence.

Car group and availability
The vehicles shown on the website represent a category. Please be advised that a make and model as shown is meant as an indication, as we can't guarantee the actual make and model of rental car. Car rental companies reserve the right to provide an alternative vehicle from the same or higher category which is determined by the number passenger seats, number of doors, transmission and motor capacity.

Returning the vehicle
At the end of the rental period please return the vehicle at the agreed time to the correct location and rental company. It is wise to save the rental documents for a certain period after you returned the vehicle.

About the rental agreement
Businesscars.com is an intermediary between car rental companies and the clients. The rental agreement is drawn up by the car rental company that provides the rental vehicle. Customers are therefore subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and the laws of the country where the vehicle is rented. As a result, Businesscars.com is not responsible for loss, damage or changes to the vehicle, delays or changes caused by civil conflict, corporate dilemmas including air traffic, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, unfavourable weather conditions, cancelled flights, or airline bankruptcies. By signing the car rental agreement, clients accept the provided rental vehicle and also agree with the terms and conditions and local extras. We kindly inform our clients to keep the rental agreement at least for two months after the rental period for eventual complains/issues.

Mechanical problems
In the case of mechanical problems the car rental company must be immediately informed. The telephone number of the local car rental agency can be found on the rental agreement. Permission for reparations or a replacement vehicle are always given by the local rental company.

Quality control
If you are for any reason dissatisfied with the service of the local car rental company, you are requested to report this directly on the spot to the car rental company and to notify Businesscars.com immediately. We will do everything to resolve your dispute rapidly and adequately.
Please report any complain within 8 weeks of your return. When dealing with the problems and complaints, Businesscars.com acts as a mediator between the client and the rental company. Insurances purchased directly at the location cannot be reimbursed. No reimbursement can be made if you have accepted alternatives at the location without notifying Businesscars.com. Special requests
All additional items such as child seats, roof racks, tow bars, navigation, mobile phones and other extras are on request and subject to availability. Usually a surcharge must be paid at the location. The prices of the extra options are shown on the website excluding local VAT. There is no reimbursement for prepaid extra options.

Deposit and fuel
Most car rental companies require you to pay a deposit equivalent to the personal liability, the cost of a full fuel tank and other additional charges. A credit card in the name of the lead driver is mandatory. Cash deposit will usually not be accepted. At the pickup of the rented vehicle, the lead driver needs to leave a deposit by credit card. Debit cards such as Visa Electron debit card are usually not accepted.

Damage liability
Unless damage to the vehicle is noted in the rental agreement or check-out report at the time of pick-up, you will receive a vehicle without visible damage. Please be advised that you will be held responsible for loss or damage to the car in an amount equal to the applicable liability until it is re-inspected by a member of staff of the car rental company.

Reimbursement
In the event of late collection or in the event that the hirer wishes to terminate early, there is no refund for the balance of the hire period. In case of no shows or cancellations made after the pick up date 100% cancellation fee will be applicable. This also applies if the hirer cannot rent the vehicle because he/she is not able to present the proper documents or to leave a deposit.

Delays
In case of delays clients are urged to contact Businesscars.com immediately. If neither Businesscars.com nor the car rental location are informed, the supplier may rent out the vehicle to other clients when the grace period has past. If due to the delay the rental vehicle can only be picked up after official closing hours of the car rental location, the supplier may charge the client for an “out of hours fee”.

Local / Additional options
Costs of additional items which are to be paid locally, local surcharges and mandatory fees may vary and are subject to changes. The cost is only indicating, because the actual amount might change during the course of reservation up to the point of pickup.
